Pirate Radio takes advantage of the on-board wireless LAN and Bluetooth on the RPi Zero W, and uses pHAT BEAT DAC and amp to pump out up to 3 W of mono audio with 16 RGB LEDs that are ideal for using as a VU (volume unit) meter.

The Python library will allow you to control the LEDs independently, if you wish, and to program the buttons to do whatever you desire.

Note that if you're using Volumio, you can use their GPIO buttons plugin to assign functions to the buttons on pHAT BEAT.
